Why?
I'd imagine it's because they both need to wake up to eat - so maybe Alleyne can sleep undisturbed?

Then again -- Alleyne has been having some of his best games with little sleep apparently. So maybe we don't change a thing!

He saves a burrito bowl from Chipotle to eat right before sunrise?

We are lucky he is not on the toilet for the whole game.

Well what constitutes “fasting”? Does an IV? That’s what I’m asking.
In both Islam and Judaism, fasting does not allow for any form of hydration, including via IV. The only exception is for the sick, pregnant or frail.
