Remember this. Geno said he has two in the top 5. Allie committed and Sarah hasnt. Sarah is in the top 5. Relax, be patient and just wait.
Did he say whose top 5? It is also possible he thinks Cheli is top 5. Following recruiting is sort of a useless time fillet.

Except Cheli wasn't ranked top-5 anywhere and she didn't commit until weeks after Geno's comment. I still don't get his comment considering no other top-5 recruit has given a verbal to this point.

Maybe he got a verbal from another top-5 who later rescinded it? Kids change their minds sometimes.

Please take discussion of the current team to the main board.

Reminder #3,051

Here’s the UConn speculation thread if you want to keep speculating about what Geno meant by saying he had 2 top 25 recruits…

Maybe top 5 in Geno's evaluation?

Don't think so. You don't tell the press someone is top-5 when they can check that against the recruit outlets. And, again, Cheli had not committed at the time of Geno's comments. It could not be her.

So it looks like Sarah is going to wait? Somewhere suggested that Sarah might be making a decision today? I was holding hope that even though 11/15 past, that she had a post-dated LOI. I guess not and we have to wait for April/May?

Is this correct? I think a recruit can sign a letter of intent the last day of
early signing. But....she can hold off on mailing it to the college for a period
of time....it still will be valid if it arrives by a certain date...perhaps a week or two after the
signing period is over.

I also think the student could sign several LOI's before the ending date and simply put them all in a box...and then send
the one she finally opts for and ditches the others. That might be the case if the player simply isn't sure but
then makes a final decision a few days after the early signing period is over.

A lot of players of interest on this list. I wonder if Jess Moore knows the 6-5 kid from Wasila Alaska?

I just looked her up and it turns out that CD is following her on Twitter, plenty of offers from at least one school in each of the P-5 conferences.

Layla played in the Nike World Basketball Festival this past September with some of the Country’s best prospects.

Layla Hays, 6' 5" (2025), reminds me of Olivia "THE BIG O" Yukosa, 6' 4" (2026). Both
are BIG "Bigs". This could be a WEST COAST vs EAST COAST decision for these talented ladies.
