NIL has got to become the cornerstone of our recruiting.

Hartford/New Haven is the largest market without a pro sports team. The state knows it’s players, and that relationship should translate into real money, more than most schools.

And by the way, NIL kills KOs league. What is the pitch to go play for KO for a few hundred thousand, without facilities, without coverage or built in fan base, against AAU teams, and KOs hand in your pocket for your career when you can go to a place with build in infrastructure against real talent and coaches and still collect a few hundred thousand in endorsements?

It can be a pretty impactful advantage until the other states catch up in legislation/the NCAA creates a blanket policy. And then it will be a marginal advantage due to the lack of pro stars/how the state focuses on UConn and its stars.

But realistically not every player will be able to lucuratively take in a lot of do-re-mi. Maybe 3-4 players will make a nice "living".
