So...yeah. This is bad. I was hoping Duggan would make a game of this. What a bad way to end the season.

I was hoping team culture and coaching would overcome 5 star recruits. Nope.

The SEC is still a bit ahead in stockpiling 5 stars because they were willing to cheat at a level other leagues were not. NIL and the Transfer Portal will spread the talent around. It will just take a little longer in football.

Hope you are right.

Georgia excelled in every facet of the game. Their offensive game plan completely shredded TCU's defense.

Give TCU their due.

When the playoff expands to 12 teams, the talent will be start to spread out. Until then, this is what you get.

TCU's lines were dominated...

Those two teams looked nothing alike.

Stars? Georgia's QB was a 2 star recruit by ESPN...

The Big 12 hasn't won a championship in 18 years, at what point do people start treating it the same way as the PAC 12?

Anyone know if Ugak saw the field. I liked him here and was bummed he left, but what a great way for him to spend last year playing CFB.

Seriously. It's like TCU linemen forgot everything they learned about leverage. They seemed to be stood up and shoved aside on almost every play.

Problem for TCU was that Georgia has "team culture and coaching" as well. What a program they have going right now.

The championship game this year was Ohio State and Georgia.

Yes that would have been a classic final. The question becomes how did TCU finish ranked ahead of Ohio State after losing to Kansas State? If Ohio State was 3rd and TCU 4th we would have had a much better final.

BTW Stetson Bennett is the perfect example of how an "FCS level" QB could surprise to the upside and be a great FBS QB. Baily Zappe is another one.

Georgia's roster is primarily Georgia guys with 10 Florida guys sprinkled in....they sit in a football hotbed of talent and are the state team...Stetson Bennett was a two star quarterback from a little town of 3,200 and led the Dawgs to two championships.

The SEC has a football culture, avid fans and good coaches. Kids playing high school ball in Georgia are, of course, swayed by the state team that is a winner,

Ohio State was pretty much run over by Michigan (lost by 22 points)...TCU lost to ranked KSU by 3 points...and beat Michigan in the semi.
