I was wondering what shows people saw in 2017. Which was your favorite. Here's my list.
Feb - Wilco - Chicago Theater
Mar - Los Lobos - Tivoli Theater
June - Tom Petty - Wrigley Field
June - The Dead - Wrigley Field
July - The Dead - Wrigley Field
Sept. - Pete Townshend and Chicago Symphony play Quadrophenia - Rosemont Theater
Dec - Spoon - Chicago Theater
Kind of an off year for me. I plan to step it up in '18.
Petty was my favorite. I've always enjoyed his shows. He will be missed.

Wow, you see a lot of shows! I'm not sure I went to a single concert this past year unfortunately. It was a crazy busy year. The last show I saw was Modest Mouse but I think that was two summers ago, and then Sufjan Stevens at the Bushnell which was awesome

Gun N Roses (kicked Azzi Fudd by the way). Steve Miller Band. Kicking myself for not seeing Tom Petty. It was one of those, "I'll see him another time." deals. Don't wait for tomorrow. If you want to see someone, see them.

Coldplay at Gillette, Earth Wind & Fire at TD Garden, Gary Hoey at Blue Ocean

...I'm having vague visions that there were a couple others but my mind isn't functioning as well as I'd like today.

Saw Coldplay at Gillette as well. Incredible show.
Also John Mayer in Hartford. Dude's a beast.
And Tedeschi Trucks. Although that might've been 2016. Very talented group.

I saw this smaller band that formed at UConn called Parsonsfield. They've become relatively big (they had their hit song featured on The Walking Dead). If you're into folk/Americana music they are awesome. They have a more modern twist to Americana. Similar to Mumford and Sons I suppose.

All were awesome shows. Coldplay was easily the best concert I've ever been to, despite all the flack they get. Love or hate them, they put on a show.

I’ve seen Parsonsfield 4 times now including a holiday acoustics show at the lead singers parents house. Literally sitting in their family room. Really good up and coming band.

That's awesome. Really underrated band. Do you know if they are coming out with new music soon?

Slow concert year this year...

Steve Miller band and Nathaniel Rateliff and the night sweats both at red rocks. Continue to give the wife a hard time because she made me miss tom petty so we could go to italy...

Also saw apocalyptica do a full metallica cover, which was pretty cool

I shelled out $650 for 2 tickets to Ed Sheeran at Mohegan for my fiancé’s birthday. Thankfully she didn’t make me actually go with her. She did drag me to see Matchbox 20 at the meadows though. Literally my least favorite band of all time.
