1. Hot start, but having trouble extending the early lead, and couldn't seem to get it to double digits. Seemed Like it alternated between a 7 and 9 point lead for most of the first half.
2. The refs got kind of carried away late in the half.
3. Not sure we can play much worse than we did after we finally got the lead to 10 at the 7:35 mark. Less than 5 minutes later, it was a tie game.
4. Allowing various Mousketeers to get into the paint at will, and we couldn't seem to rebound at either end.
5. At the half, we had 2 points and 3 boards out of our bench. And we were getting smoked on the boards, 20 to 14.
6. As poorly as he's playing, Newton's not to far off pace for another triple double at half-time.
7. First half, Xavier couldn't shoot a three to save their life. First 5 minutes of the second. They go 3 for 3 from 3.
8. We got our double digit lead back at 7:18 in the 2nd. Need to hold onto it this time.
9. 3:26. Must be time for the refs to go berserk with the foul calls again.
10. Thank God Tristen found his foul shot stroke at the end.
11. Xavier had 22 points from the FT line, compared to our 7. That is bogus.
12. Luckily, even the one sided officiating couldn't overcome their poor shooting - 36% fg and 33% from 3, compared to 54% fg and 46% from three for the good guys.
13. Castle and Newton combined for 19 dimes. The entire Xavier team had 16.
14. Newton finished 4 boards shy of another triple double.

At one point, the announcer actually said, "His fouling there was too overzealous." This was the time Hurley said Newton was fouled 4 times on one play. The Xavier kid was critiqued for making his fouling too obvious. And the funny thing is that it was true. In the BE you can push and shove a shooter, but don't go way overboard with it.
