FYI, both have been reported in the WNBA - 2023 Season Thread set up by UConnCat.
Posters in that thread have been reporting on transactions on virtually a "as it happens" basis.

And, yes, your point about going from hoisting a championship trophy to being waived has very much been noted in many regards (most notably, just how tought it is to crack a league that has, at best, 144 slots.)

Again, this is the part of the WNBA that absolutely displeases me. Why invest money in a 3-round draft if many of the draftees will eventually be waived? I just think there has to be a better way for these young women make money while playing professional basketball In the USA.

Expansion is not the answer. It will just further dilute the league.

Maybe initially, however with the cuts being made, a competitive team could be made out of those available. Erica McCall's suggestion to increase roster size is another way to expand, albeit incrementally.
