Yes, she is simply another player on the roster who can do everything any other player can do - except enter a game. And she is allowed to do that also if she and UConn decided to waste a year of her eligibility.

CD said she "has skills" but needs to learn the UConn system. She's reported to have good ball skills for a post and shoots 3's. She's a coach's kid.

Geno has been complementary about her skills and approvingly says Jana has a bit of an attitude.
I see her realistically in the inside rotation mix from game one come 11/2023. Aaliyah has a lock in
that paint area...not sure anybody else does....redshirt frosh Ice...junior Amari...soph Ayanna...frosh Jana.
Aubrey/Caroline/Qadence...these 3 have the versatility to dabble in there as well.

We got guards galore...that group...some athletic frontcourt players...can you say 'Full Court Press'?

Isn't ND using a early enrolled student as a key player? If Jana is the real deal and could help the team to a NC her choice. If?

In recent articles, it's been reported that they are bringing her along slowly to let her adapt to the practices, and probably have her work with the trainers for strength training, which many freshmen get to do during the summer session. Not sure that burning a year of eligibility is worth it, as Geno has said they need scorers. Could she help? Not sure.
