Don't know the player, but after reading the headline, I thought, "blessed to recieve an offer from UConn...". It is exactly what every offeree says. What's up with that?

Was thinking the exact same thing. Wondering when one of these guys is gonna go: "Just got offered by XYZ. Not really that excited by it. Certainly not blessed."

Maybe they are smarter than they get credit for.

If they trash an offering school, and the school they ultimately choose, plays the offering school that they trashed, some of the fans will boo and swear at the player.

So maybe, that is why they give a "diplomatic" answer.

Gotta assume coaching staff has done their homework and you take them.. Unless you're playing poker with another recruit who plays the same position/role who you want more... In which case you have some honest discussions/silent verbals,etc.

For example.. What if Flip says he wants" in" ahead of DC making his decision?? Anyone who plays DC's position who is considering UConn is waiting for DC's decision..
