It looks like I will be spending the bulk of the upcoming season across the pond in various places. Do any of you have any experience getting a streaming service to work internationally that will allow us to watch the games live this season? If so, which service and any special measures which need to be considered to make it happen? Thank you!

If you plan on watching on a laptop or a tablet, a VPN may permit you to watch on a streaming service wherever you may be. In effect, the VPN can make it appear to the streaming service as if you are watching from home.

Hulu Live can somehow detect and block certain VPNs. If you subscribe to Hulu Live, do some research.
No idea about other US streaming services that will provide broadcast rights to most UConn games, like YouTube TV.

Two years ago when I was in Spain I tried using NordVPN, and Youtubetv would not let me stream. Then I switched to an app called FakeGPS. That worked perfectly.
You got to believe any company with "FAKE" in their name.

It may be a matter of choosing which node to connect from. A VPN service can have more or fewer nodes around the world. For example, ProtonVPN has hundreds of access points located in Europe the U.S. and Asia.

This discussion of streaming technology is well beyond my pay grade. But I completely applaud the effort of SCHuskiedad to insure that he can watch the Huskies live while in Europe. Many of those games won’t start until after midnight in Europe. That’s dedication!!!

Maybe SCHuskiedad will be working the night shift. 😄

And to add to what Bone Dog said, if you do a Google search "watching US television channels when in Europe" you will get a breakdown of the steps for connecting with a VPN as well as some other options all from a knowledgeable AI.

You've made the obvious mistake of not devoting your entire life to following the lady Huskies. If you choose to live at some remote location (aka, beyond UConn coverage), you shouldn't come whining to those of us who would never make that mistake.
Decisions have consequences.

I didn't choose to be born and live on the other side of the world! I admit to discovering the Huskies late(r) in life (although I hesitated in joining the Boneyard as, in my mid seventies I have probably lowered the average age of members) thanks to YouTube and Larry Bird. It's a long story, perhaps I should put it in my profile. I got here by following Paige and the Hopkins Royals, which lead me to UConn where I have been exploring the rich heritage.

We rarely have their games live on TV down here, although the 2025 final was live, within (just) my waking hours. I have to depend on YouTube videos of probably dubious origin for replays, live audio, and live stats.

You USAians are very lucky! 😭

This is almost, sort of, exactly the story of my return to UConn-mania. I’d drifted away after the 4-peat, and then a friend sent me a link to a video of a Hopkins HS game… and it all came rushing back.

To further comment on Dude's post, I spent several year's working throughout Europe and since I did not want to literally lose sleep over the Huskies, I typically watched recordings (many options available) the next day. Only a few games a year would motivate me to watch at 1AM. Plugging the laptop into a big screen TV at whatever time I chose with a bourbon in hand was a good trade off to fighting the inconsistent streaming services in the middle of the night.

We Canadians have the same challenge without the significant time zone difference. If you're not savvy with streaming services, trying to figure this stuff out isn't easy. Can fully empathize with your situation. 😉
