UConn would owe him $600,000 if it fired him before his contract expires in 2021, but school administrators will have to at least consider the option with attendance dwindling and the program trending in the wrong direction.

So which is it? The $600,000 figure we see in some articles or the $9+ million we see in others? If it's $600,000 I think we all know what's going to happen after the season is over.

If it was only $600,000, I think we could raise that here alone. The interest is certainly strong enough.

I read this and almost cried:

"The Huskies are 0-7 against top 50 opponents so far this season and required overtime just to slip past Monmouth and Columbia in non-league play."

The writer is an idiot. He's misreading the contract. There are two clauses dealing with the buyout amounts. He read only the first one.

At this point the only good news is that there’s probably no better time than now to blowup the program up and start over. We are so far from respectable ( among worst teams offensively in the nation), our two best starters likely gone at the end of the season, and not enough coming in next year to change dial especially with KO at helm.
We still have a good shot at Danny Hurley and I don’t want to lose that opportunity.
