Stephane Wrembel recently played at the Sidedoor club in Old Lyme. Does a wonderful job of recreating and also modernizing some of Django's music.

"cool, tasty"....Scud49...If you like Eva; if you like Chuck you'll like them together. Sorry, Peggy Lee. You're still the best.

The Godfather of Go Go with some jazz. You get an A+ for the creativity.

Django Reinhardt Sultan Of Swing Full Album

You can see in this photograph his left hand. He was a gypsy, and when he was young his mother's trailer caught fire. His left hand was badly burned, and permanently disfigured. He had to re-learn to play the guitar, and grew up to be the toast of Paris in the'30s and hugely influential.

The intro of the vibraphone on this song is awesome. Roy Ayers, master of the vibes.

I just love this song. The bass work towards the end of this song is awesome. Emilio Modeste is awesome on the sax on this cut. Has a Grover vibe to it.

Brian Auger's Oblivion Express - their rendition of this classic Wes Montgomery tune is wonderful:
