When he was a freshman you could see right away how much talent he had. You never know when a kid will turn talent into something more than expectations. He did. I said it during the year that Hawk might end up having/ the best NBA career of any former UConn player. I have seen nothing since he was drafted that has changed my opinion.

Yeah he’s going to be special. Will be hard to top what Ray accomplished but he should be right up there with guys like Rip, Gay, Butler and Kemba in terms of accomplishments and status

Hawkins seems one of those learn and adapt kind of athletes. His game changed and improved remarkably year-one to year-two. He may have a modest start in the NBA, but then watch out!

Crazy thing is we only saw him really scratch the surface of his potential.
