Look-up Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. While it is not a power athletic program, it a very strong academic school along the lines of U Chicago’s little sister in the Midwest. The school’s original name was Western Reserve University, which, in turn, was named after the territory’s first name, Connecticut Western Reserve (ceded by CT in 1800).

Looks like the border between Connecticut and Massachusetts runs right through Detroit. Maybe we should play UMass in Lions stadium, just for old time's sake.

No thanks...I'm glad you aren't suggesting that CT citizens should pay the bankruptcy of Detroit!!

I remember the Coast Guard Academy playing them in football. They are AAU too.

Norwalk Ohio anyone? Pretty much founded by a guy from Danbury with it's genesis being the burning of Norwalk Ct by the British. Architecture has definite similarities to certain buildings.
