I'm glad I was at the game and did not have to listen to DM.

I was thinking more of a shorter Lyman Depriest in terms of toughness and D. But it's been a while since I've seen him play!

Shout out here for Hassan’s defense. Thought he was terrific today, wonder what his plus/minus was. Reminds me of Ricky Moore and that is a supreme compliment

I believe he was right behind the UConn bench today, not far from Pettiford.

I can see him getting a lot more PT as the season progresses. Best kind of players are the pleasant surprises.

This thread is a pretty good example of how we look back at history through rose colored glasses.

I’m wondering if any of the posters in this thread laughing at the comparison were old enough to be in the cohort that constantly on Taliek while he was at UConn.

Taliek is our most underrated player ever. The best that no one ever talks about. I recall him being a suspect shooter, but what a PG.

I believe this is because he came after KEA.. Khaleed is one of the most beloved players in UConn history. Never fun being a successor to an icon, just ask KO.

But by Taliek’s junior year, all was right.

I’d challenge that with the PG that followed him.

Marcus Williams is the most underrated player in UConn history.
I loved his game. He had almost 20 assists one night if I recall. 17/18 maybe? And he was on the best team that we ever had that didn’t win it all.
