I wouldn't go to far up, the distance is pretty significant, Row 16 is the last row, I believe. If you are going to get upper bowl I always shoot for Rows 1 and 2 in particular sections, like section 318. There are a few sections where the first two rows are separated with more comfortable seating, and table top in front and the price isn't much different, if at all compared to a few rows further up or a normal first row section so I think they're always good value ticket. How good are those upper seats?
I dont know about $35 but I definitely see them going down in price. That's alot of seats to fill with an opponent from Utah.PSA: I can't see any surge in hype between now and 11/15, or even the December game with Florida @ MSG. Tickets are already at $103 w/ fees on StubHub.
I predict tickets will be $35 (or less) w/ fees on that Friday night 11/14 (or on gameday), but definitely understand the desire to buy in advance, and the comfort of knowing that one's tickets are in hand
... will come back to this post in November, to own this prediction, either way.
no doubt, or from anywhere - I can't see 19,500 fans in TD Garden in November, but I will be thereI dont know about $35 but I definitely see them going down in price. That's alot of seats to fill with an opponent from Utah.
Agreed. I don't think they were expecting a lot of BYU fans but they were probably expecting UConn fans to fill the place after what happened in Boston against Illinois in the Elite 8 game. But there's a big difference between a game on November 15 and one with the chance to go to the Final Four.I dont know about $35 but I definitely see them going down in price. Normally, I would agree with you, but BYU has always had tremendous fans and are well known to every bowl committee because they put fans in the seats. Basketball may be a different story but the enthusiasm for this team appears to be off the charts and whereby I normally would expect 2K fans I wouldn’t be surprised if 6k show up in Boston.Agreed. I think BYU fans will show up as they have had months to plan a trip to Boston, unlike the NCAAs where you had a day or two to plan to be in Boston.Agreed. An opponent from Utah with a strong fan base, including many alumni and non-BYU alumni alike in major Atlantic Seaboard cities who shockingly support the Cougars with a religious fervor.I dont know about $35 but I definitely see them going down in price. BYU football plays TCU, and we play Air Force that dayI think BYU fans will show up as they have had months to plan a trip to Boston, unlike the NCAAs where you had a day or two to plan to be in Boston.
2025 Reality Check about this game we all loveAn opponent from Utah with a strong fan base, including many alumni and non-BYU alumni alike in major Atlantic Seaboard cities who shockingly support the Cougars with a religious fervor.
I will be impressed with their fan base if they have 6,000 fans there.Normally, I would agree with you, but BYU has always had tremendous fans and are well known to every bowl committee because they put fans in the seats. I will be impressed with our fan base if we have 6,000 in Boston ... everyone gets excited about these early games, few actually show up ...I will be impressed with their fan base if they have 6,000 fans there.

Fun Fact: only 27 of us went to Maui for the Kemba experience in 2010 ... the rest were tourists, and the majority was Kentucky fans from 2yrs old, to 102 with walkers and oxygen carts (they travel deep!)
Do non UConn fans even know this is happening? Assuming UConn is highly ranked and BYU is ranked, people will decide to go on a Saturday in November. I just don’t think fans of college football hoops who aren’t UConn or BYU fans are aware of this game at all.If there aren’t at least 8,000-10,000 UConn fans there then the Garden is going to be pretty dead that night. Where are the rest of the people in there going to come from? Boston sports fans are generally not college sports fans and the ticket prices will probably limit the number of general sports fans anyway.
I’m very curious to see how many tickets they sell and what the split is. If UConn fans don’t come out then this will probably be the last regular season game there for a while.
You'd have to think between the students, the Uconn/Hartford crowd and the fact this is only a 1.5 hour ride, the hype/anticipation for both teams, it's gonna do ok given it's a weekend game. As a super early OOC game, it kinda kickstarts the season. I'm definitely expecting some hype around this one and fans to be revved up. There may be a little bit of a local AJD factor going here as well, could see local press pushing some hype around the game since they'll have one of their own and potential number 1 pick playing in it.Do non UConn fans even know this is happening? For UConn sports fans, potentially not helped by same day competition for dollars with games with Air Force at the Rent (12) and hockey’s last ever possible matchup in end-of-life Matthews Arena vs Northeastern (time TBD). Additionally, for some hoop-focused fan dollars may be more enticed by MSG games with Florida and Illinois, possible trips/tix for KU, etc.Prices will probably be cheap day of. This is not selling well at all which is somewhat of a shock. Maybe as the preseason polls roll out and the season gets closer more will buy
