I'll be honest, when he missed that dunk, bricked the open 3, and then SDSU came down and hit a jumper when Andre fell, I thought the wheels were coming off. Credit to these guys for just never relinquishing the lead and getting rattled.

When the Aztecs cut it to 5 with about 5 minutes left, my heart sank and the Hawkins hits the 3 and I felt good again.

Great visual. It also looked great from the side/wide angle view. It was almost Dr. J/Jordan-esque in that he took off a mile away. Too bad he back-rimmed it or that would be a UConn video clip for the ages.

Yes but SDSU getting back in that game for a second was all our doing. Team should've been up 20 points at halftime and had so many chances to blow that game wide open to like a 25 point lead, this was a mismatch. Still turned on the jets at the very end to win by 17.

He's so ridiculously huge. Bill Clingan is a mountain of a man and Donovan makes him look tiny.
One of the best moments was when Clingan and Hurley hugged and he picked coach up like he was an infant.

When Hawkins hit the 3 to stop the SDSU run, my BP dropped by 50 points. It was just a reminder that we’re too good to lose. His confidence to take that shot at that point showed defiance and the ability to weather it. Just a huge shot. This team learned how to counterpunch mid-season.
That shot by Hawkins was a major body blow to SDSU.
