Sounds like an accident where she wasn't breaking any laws (speeding or impaired). Not sure that I agree with charges. The guilt alone is punishment enough IMO.

True, but it sounds like she may have been distracted or else, why would she be charged? What a sad story.

The sympathy seems to be directed at the driver when the victim has suffered loss of life. I doubt there would be the same sentiment from the loved ones of the dead woman.
