The Prez's picks have been revealed through to the FF, and he fairly sensibly has his Husky women along with ND, Stanford, and Louisville there. Lobo helped Barry with the picks apparently.

Remember though, the Prez picked Baylor last year, so a selection of UConn for the NC may not be a great thing. Just not sure how to go on this. Maybe if he just guaranteed them an invite to the White House, all would be good omen-wise.

He learned his lesson from last year and returned to his annual selection of UCONN.

How well has he predicted the NCAA tourney winners during his presidency? My recollection, not so well for the men's tourney, reasonably well for the women's tourney.

Why wouldn't we want anybody picking UCONN?

The Prez picked UConn to win the NC in 2010 and nailed it, but also picked them in 2011, which did not work out. He did not make picks in 2009. So I guess 1 out of 2 for us ain't bad. He tends to do better than average in the 69-75% correct region, but then again he has help from Lobo and likely the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Actually, now that the Prez has picked UConn, it does feel like a good move for all concerned and the only one that made any sense for him. Going with a lesser munchkin-like team would not have been the way to go for the leader of the country. We can now forgive him for not being prescient last year about who was going to win the NC.
