Finally, a transfer who we've offered who I've actually seen play live!

He's definitely a strong, physical guard who rebounds well and isn't afraid to post up. Like CV, he gets his steals thanks to his good timing/instincts and isn't afraid to go coast-to-coast, despite being an average at best athlete. He was Rider's starting 3 guard, but played the 4 at times too.

Even though he was Rider's leading scorer, he was one of four Rider players with 11+ ppg, so he's from a system where he wasn't always the "go to" guy. Personally, I like that.

I'm a bit worried his 3pt% is a fluke because his FT% has been in the 60s 2/3 years and he shot a low volume, but he's very Vital-esque by the numbers. Just swap out some of Vital's 3pt volume for 2 point volume and deduct a bit of playmaking.

Pretty sure he went to HS at one of the CT preps.

I like his size and shooting ability. Sign him up

Would love to see him in a UConn uni ... hard nosed ball player. Could always have played higher level D1.

Just looked him up and recognized him from a couple Rider games I saw. Would be a solid pick up, smart player that can make plays and physically tough too. Wouldn’t mind this at all.

Dayton is the team I worry about the most. Anthony Grant has done a great job with transfers and Vaughn reminds me of Dayton's Trey Landers.

Currently, Vaughn is my #2 behind Nolley.

Highlights from his first 3 years. Talk about a big guard. Kid is built like a truck, defends well (1.8 stls), and can shoot the rock. Sign me up.

Really like his ability to post up smaller guards. Finishes well with both hands.

Handle is suspect. probably a 3 for us--maybe 4 in a pinch.

FT shooting makes me wonder if his 3% is sustainable. He jumps too much when he shoots

Love his form on jump shot. Not too many passes when he has ball and is moving towards hoop.

Vs p6 comp over 3 years.

Providence -- 7/3/0, 3 TO, 0 STL, 1 BLK. 3/6 FG. 1/1 3FG. 0/0 FT.
PSU -- 16/7/0 2TO, 1 STL, 0 BLK. 6/9 FG. 2/5 3FG. ⅔ FT.
Oregon -- 25/6/2 0 TO, 2 STL, 3 BLK. 11/21 FG. ¼ 3FG. ⅔ FT.
UCF -- 14/5/0 1 TO 0 STL 0 BLK 6/9 FG. ½ 3FG. ¼ FT
WVU -- 11/8/3 2 TO 4 STL 1 BLK 4/11 FG ⅓ 3FG ⅔ FT
ASU -- 8/10/0 6 TO 0 STL 1 BLK 3/8FG 0/3 3FG ⅔ FT
Temple -- 11/10/0 4 TO 1 STL 1 BLK 5/15 FG 1/3 3FG 0/0 FT
Wiscy -- 7/8/2 3 TO 0 STL 1 BLK 3/8 FG 0/1 3FG ½ FT

Average:

12.4 PTS
7.1 REB
0.9 AST
2.6 TO
1.0 STL
1.0 BLK
47% FG
32% 3FG (2.8 attempts per)
56% FT (2.5 attempts per)

Don't love the AST and TO numbers. But he would be a great addition regardless. We need tough, physical defenders.
