She just can't get healthy. Played 16 games in 2018, missed all of 2019, 9 games in 2020. Las Vegas didn't make a mistake dealing her.

Looks like Dallas is only down two players to injury. You need to be down three players to qualify for an injury exemption replacement player.

Jefferson was given a rich three year guaranteed contract, so she can’t be waived without that contract being paid off and effectively reducing their salary cap for the next couple of seasons.

Ndour is another Dallas player that was given an even richer three year guaranteed contract. She’s nearly invisible for Dallas. Maybe she’ll be more visible now that Harrison is out for the season.

In 2016, Dallas traded away the 2015 #2 pick after a year of service.

In 2018, Dallas waived the 2017 #3 pick after a year of service.

I think this goes beyond bad luck. Greg Bibb is easily the worst GM in the league. Kolb is definitely in the running, but he’s a newbie.

The remainder of Satou Sabally's rookie season may be in jeopardy. Sabally will miss tonight's game against the Chicago Sky after suffering a head injury in Wednesday's loss to Seattle. The Dallas Wings have placed Sabally in concussion protocol and she will not be available for what would've been a reunion game with Ruthy Hebard, ESPN reports. :(:(

Brutal year for the rookies. Ionescu missed almost the entire season, and Carter and Sabally both missed significant chunks.

For the Wings to sneak into the playoffs, they need DC to lose to NYL today, and then DC to turnaround and beat ATL Sunday, along with the Wings closing out with a win over the Liberty. The Dream would be out at 7-15, and the Wings and Mystics would be tied at 8-14. The Wings hold a 2-0 head to head advantage over the Mystics, which I assume is the tiebreaker that puts them into the postseason.

Tough scenario, but certainly nowhere near impossible.

More than a bit ironic that New York, the worst team in the league, will play a critical role in determining who gets the 8th and final playoff spot.

Ah, so a 3 way, 8-14 tie will end up benefitting Dallas and get them the 8th seed. :p

Dallas has generally been unable to finish games and has lost 6 of their last 8. They should be able to take care of business today, though, even without Sabally who I assume is still in the protocol and Gray who was out the last game. If they lose, they obviously don`t deserve to be in the playoffs.

Then they sit and wait. Atlanta is out of it so you have to hope that they show up. They can "play loose", this is "their chance to play spoiler", versus "their bags are packed". Yada, yada, yada. We will see.

Here is an interesting stat - where are you, DavidinNaples - both Washington and Atlanta have won 4 of their last 5 after losing 12 of their previous 13.

I believe Arike will play today as if she has no teammates and be concerned with maintaining her scoring average, maybe even scoring over 40 points, which she came so close to doing in her last game. However, Dallas should win even if she does not.
