Beverly left after a coaching change at OSU. Sid didn't have the same situation.

So? The rule is you sit out a year when you transfer even if your coach leaves.

The NCAA hasn’t ruled on Wilson yet, so there’s still a bit of hope.

Because he only registered for the summer class because OSU's AD said Matta wouldn't be fired. So the kid decided to get an early start on his education, he didn't wait as long as Sid did to change his mind.

Clearly got railroaded on that one.

I think sid choosing to stay home because his mom died is a much better reasoning than the coach being fired.

Also we should push for this until it’s clear how good our team is. All it took for Beverly was public outcry and a bunch of resubmissions, that should work for anybody.

While cliche, we are still UCONN, and Mark Emmert is still in charge.

Let's get that slope nice and slippery.

this x1000. It's the exact reason the NCAA originally would not authorize it. As of right now, the NCAA has set transfer eligibility rules. They allow one to go through, the perception is that every situation is up to debate. Until they put in ammendments discussing coaching changes and how it affects player transfer rules, the slippery slope will continue.
