What if Dan Hurley and Kimani Young forget to show up to the game because they're talking to James? Or what if our fans forget to cheer because they're watching him walk to his seat? Or maybe the refs will be starstruck by an NBA player sitting courtside and forget to call fouls when Tristen Newton drives? There's so many possibilties
We’ve had NBA players sitting courtside at every Big East game this year??

Not loving his fashion choices but happy he is back on campus. I just don’t see our coaching staff letting anything distract us from tomorrow.

Maybe Susan Sarandon’s protege can spend time with him.

Who is he going to be a distraction to? You think castle or Spencer are going to neglect to prepare for Marquette because bouknight stood on the sidelines for part of practice? Or you think they’re going to go party with him the night before the game?

I’m very confused
Maybe they'll eat too many Doritos and fall asleep.

Good for James. Maybe this is exactly what he needs to get his head straight. He had a good support staff while he was at UConn, just because he made some mistakes does not mean he should be shunned. I made many mistakes between the ages of 17-23, only I did not have a microscope on me to make it known to everybody.

Honestly wouldn't be a far-fetched worry for some undisciplined teams around the country over the years and even here many years ago but this team is as professional as it gets from the coaches on down through all the players. Guys like Steph, Cam, and AK are choirboys. All they do is is think about basketball and practice when they're not at practice.

Being around the coaches and these players should be the best place for Bouknight. He was a foundational part of bringing the Huskies back to prominence and right now he needs to be around people who love him and want him to succeed.
Oh stop. He is a grown man and a millionaire. He totally embarrassed himself and the program and the school last time he was here. Now you want to coddle him again. He wants to buy a ticket, that’s fine but we don’t need his distraction or even potential distraction right now. You think he just happened to come this week? He came to try to get noticed because he knew there would be big media circus. He was a punk when he first arrived. He was a punk when he came back last year. He was a punk in Charlotte. It isn’t UConn’s job to fix his issues. He needs to take responsibility.

Bouknight was a big part of Uconn becoming a powerhouse again. We weren't that good then but he put on a must see show most nights.

F the haters. I'm glad he's back. If this team gets "distracted" by a former player coming to the game then they aren't the real deal anyways. The being said, this team is the real deal.

The guy just got cut from an NBA team and might not be back in the league anytime soon, if at all.

Not a week or so later and he’s back on campus with the team. Part of me think this was a mutual arrangement and he probably wants some advice/help from Hurley and staff and maybe, just maybe, wants to tell these younger guys to take this serious and not F around.

Just a thought.

He came to try to get noticed by a “media circus” so strong that we have threads bemoaning the crap coverage and exposure this game has, relative to quality. And not because he just got cut. Okay guy.

All we need is James Bouknight to cause trouble. Kimani has a huge game to prepare for. So does Hurley. He should have Stayed in Charlotte or wherever he lives these days. We do not need distractions this week.
Again with "we"?

You've just made him and anybody has who acted with questionable judgment look good by comparison.
