Has anyone been to the Big East tournament day one (Friday) games? I’m specifically interested in the availability of food and beverage inside the arena. Also does anyone know what the readmittance policy is? Could you leave during a game (if you wanted to get food outside the arena and then come back in? It seems as though the tickets are general admission, which means sit wherever you want. Is this true?

We have been to every conference tournament since they have been held at the Sun. The Mohegan Sun is probably the best venue possible for the tournament with easy access, ample free parking, and a great arena. There are probably 50 eating establishments available ranging from food courts, burgers and pizza's to high end restaurants like Michael Jordan's, Tuscany and our new favorite Tao Asian Bistro. Within the arena itself there are vendors selling pizza, hot dogs, and beverages.

Just be aware that there will be crowds on game day when UConn is playing, it can get pretty crowded.

Yes, you can leave and re-enter. You will have to have your mobile device with your ticket available to be scanned when you leave, and then again when you return. And yes, all of the concessions are usually available the first day of the tournament. We have been to all the tournament games dating back to the mid 90’s. We’ll be there tomorrow, because we are basketball fans, not just UCONN fans. But we love our Huskies!
