There's a fair amount of discussion of the top teams. Including astonishment at Bill Self winning his 17th regular season title in 20 tries. On UConn
"The seeming decline was understandably hard to stomach. Here was a team that had destroyed everything in its path in the nonconference, including Alabama by 15, suddenly unable to guard the Red Storm at the XL Center. Surely this was some existential problem, the loss of something profound, rather than an eight-game stretch in the middle of the season in which for a variety of reasons a good team didn’t play particularly well.
With the benefit of hindsight, that’s exactly what it was."
