Collier must have gotten into early foul trouble again. She only has 11 min in the third quarter.

I am back. Had to run some errands. Texas is brutal offensively. If Charli Collier is really the #1 pick, it's a bad year for the WNBA...

Looks like Texas goes down today also, down 7 with 25 seconds left.

Edit: Final score Texas Tech 74 - Texas 66.

When Collier is in foul trouble or struggling, Texas isn’t very good at all.

I don't follow Texas very closely, but don't they have more talent than just Collier?

They do, but not much size and the offensive scheme is really built around her, imo.

What’s so fascinating to me is that parts of Collier’s game are pro-ready while others are still vastly underdeveloped. Example:

2-12 today
1 assist, 7 turnovers
15 rebounds

Her rebound numbers are super impressive, and she does shoot it at 50%+ higher on the season. But given her size advantage in so many games, you expect her to shoot a little better.

Her block number isn’t gaudy, but can anyone who’s watched Texas more tell if Collier’s defense is good/driving her lottery-pick status?

Hey, @FridaFriend yes, it is "our" Lexie and her younger sister Myra (not Mya on Colorado) is a freshman on Alabama.

I am not so sure that Texas has an abundance of talent, they have some nice role players but no one who can score. Collier has been challenged when playing teams with skill players as they will double her, knowing her passing is suspect as evidenced by her 3 assists and 30 turnovers. Her career is 24 assists and 145 turnovers. That's pretty bad. With no one else able to score with consistency and their defense below Vic standards, this team is not destined for more than a second round NCAA game.
Collier has played 6 conference games, with 3-3 record. 3 Losses to A&M (14 pts, 4-11 FG, 3 fouls, 40 min), WVU (5 pts, 2-2 FG, 5 fouls 21 min), TTech (13 pts, 2-12 FG, 3 fouls, 28 min) and 3 wins of KSU (27 pts, 9-18 FG, 1 foul, 40 min) ISU (14 pts, 4-10 FG, 4 fouls, 33 min) and Kansas (28 pts, 11-21 FG, 1 foul, 37 min). What's odd is ISU lost to Texas despite holding Collier down.

Celeste Taylor, Joanne Allen-Taylor and Audrey Warren average a little more than 10 pts per game mostly due to the cupcakes Vic played this year.
