9-3 overall.

2-2 against 'cuse, BCU, AFA and dook.

With so much roster turnover not just for UConn but for each of the opponents, I have no idea how this will all work out.

But, I think there has been a talent upgrade in the locker room and I am comfortable with the stability of the coaching staff and the OC and DC.

I am good with 9-3 anything less than 8-4 w. Schedule we have would be disappointing IMO.

There’s a small part of me that thinks maybe we can shock the world - well surprise the rest of college football and finish 11-1

The experience we have on offense and talent - if our defense can play well enough - the Ws might start piling up.

Wildcard factor: We have to be that much better against ACC opponents because no calls are coming our way - that is an unknown for me - will we get fair shake or is it like the last couple of years.

8-4

1-2 vs p5, split buffalo and air force, and suffer 1 bad loss somewhere.

The DL looks rough on paper and could hold the defense back. If I am wrong about them, 10 wins is possible.
I’m with you here. I don’t think we sweep the G5 games this year but I do think we steal an ACC win. Agree about the defense too, it’s weird because this might be the first preseason I’ve been more confident in our offense than defense

Just noticed Ta'Quan Roberson may be starting for Buffalo this year (vs Minn Thursday) . And a good returning nucleus for second year coach Pete Lembo. But I digress....

8-4. With two out of the three ACC games on the road and the one home game against an ACC opponent, who should do well in their conference. Till we can start proving that we can beat P4 teams it’s hard to pick any of the three that I feel will be victorious. I think we lose one G5 game and finish the regular season 8-4.

It will be interesting to see how he does.

We return one defensive starter. I have no idea how anyone makes a prediction that isn't just a WAG.
Knowing the system well enough to make quick decisions and not get caught out will be the challenge for these guys. I don't think defensive talent is the main issue, it's familiarity and it will take a few games. Still like the possibility of 9 wins. The offense should be productive without trying to force things. D may have occasional bad moments but I think they can still be disruptive. We improve overall. And the Coaching staff also seems to be figuring things out. Goin with those vibes.

I'm well-versed in a subset of WAG, a SWAG. S=Scientific.

My model accounts for an even distribution of roster chaos of all the schools outside the top-40. Everyone lost something and everyone gained some. But bottom line, no school is going from the 90-100 range to the 20-40 range on talent upgrades alone.

So, I look for stability at QB which UConn has and stability at HC, OC, and DC. And UConn has stability at all those areas.

Finally, take that in consideration and compare it to how each opponent does in those categories.

That's the science. Everything else is the WAG.

I may just be dumb, but what is WAG? I'm reading this trying to figure out what wives and girlfriends have to do with the predicted record.

Thanks. I'm dumb when caffeine deprived.
