It's amazing this old bag would say anything like this after the refs gift wrapped him his only title when they took it away from Seton Hall and gave it to Michigan.

UConn had to win a road game against SDSU, Kemba destroyed them.

Wasn’t that game tied?

And frankly there was a foul in the backcourt.

I do wonder what Kawhi said. Cause I don’t think he was demonstrative.

Maybe it was just that creepy laugh....

But the Franklin one was easy. Throws a shoulder and then taunts while standing over him.

That is one I cannot get over. That and the Olympic game to Russia which the U S stood their ground and never accepted the Silver Medal.

Mine is game 7 of the 2010 finals.

100% screw job. Stern should be ashamed.

Far worse than sacto/lakers game 6 in 2002.

The ref John Clougherty even admitted to Seton Hall that he blew it and apologized to them. He also said the gracious way Carlesimo handled it saved Clougherty's career.

They had a chance to win at the end and missed. The better team won and went on to win the National Championship

Get in line, Fisher. Ken Pom had 9 teams better. Maybe if you could control your punk-ass players.

They can have Kawhi and a sweet 16 appearance.

I’ll take Kemba and the banner.

The thing about the 2011 team was that on the whole - it was a just a lot, lot better than we thought it was going to be leading into the season. They beat god knows how many good, ranked teams early on. Then just as everyone began paying attention, we hit the skids dramatically enough for everyone to check out. Then we go on another nuclear tear in the post season. We got the glass slipper tag because I think the media was looking for a narrative, and whatever. It was fine. But we were also a #3 seed after finishing 9th in our conference. So at worst - the committee seeded us as the 12th best team heading in *in spite* of the mid season skid. And a lot of the under the hood numbers suggested we were a lot better than we were getting credit for. My point being - the skid was the outlier in our performance that year. Not the winning streak at the end.

But given the sheer number of ranked teams we beat (and even trashed) I think the narrative that we weren't that good is kind of silly.

In the tourney you just have to be better 6 times. Was UConn better than Lville in '14? It doesn't matter because banners beat better every time. We have 4 of those bad boys. Not too shabby.

IIRC, it wasn’t until after Kemba got trucked in our huddle that he really started balling
