I cannot remember a freshman whose defense was as good as Castle's - and only a few upperclassmen too. Maybe Ricky Moore as a frosh? But he didn't have the positional versatility of Castle.
Ricky is the best defender ive seen but as a Fr Castle was better. Ricky was good from jump then became a lockdown defender but Castle figured it out quick and shutdown some of the best players in the country whom were all upperclassmen. Not sure we go B2B without his defense.

What really sucked about going against Castle was youre not going to screen him, hes not going to give you any room to take a 3 its all going to be contested, youre not beating him off the dribble but on the rare occasion you did your grand prize was and 7`2 shot blocking machine between you and the basket and Castle still on you and capable of swatting your shot from behind. Whether in your face or behind you Castles D is something you want no part of.

The way he seems to know where the ball is going before the offensive player does, brings to mind Ricky Moore. A bigger, faster Rocky Moore.

Stephon was the most coachable 5 star in recent history. He was the perfect teammate and played his role. Shut down defender and opportunistic scorer. Not worried about his outside shot at the next level.

He was a ball dominant scorer in HS. He will be a mismatch problem in the NBA when the ball is in his hands. Can take that to the bank. Gonna make UConn fans proud.
