Back to the OP...
It's a lot of BS interspersed with half-truths.
For example...
No, most fans didn't care about playing Depaul, Seton Hall and St. John's....BECAUSE we were playing Syracuse, Pitt, and Louisville.
I'd much rather play Depaul, Seton Hall, and St. John's than Tulsa, Tulane, and ECU. Nobody cares about playing them. Not even their fans.
Another example...
Nobody outside of CT cares about the Big East? Interesting because they have a Fox Sports contract while the AAC is stranded on ESPN the ocho, and CBS Sports. It's easier for most people to watch a professional Lacrosse game than a UConn basketball game. Nobody, anywhere, cares about the AAC.
Finally....
While the AAC is expansive geographically, and located in some major markets...it doesn't have a team that owns its market. Cincy (OSU). USF/UCF (Miami, UF, FSU), Tulsa (OU), ECU (UNC), Tulane (LSU and virtually every other SEC team), Temple (Eagles), Houston/SMU (UT, A&M), Memphis (Tenn), Navy (Redskins/Ravens). How many markets you're located in is irrelevant if those markets generally don't care about your product. Also, LOL at calling UCF a national brand.
