Outside of the Jones and Belibi show, Stanford not looking that good. But they are playing Cal, so they have a 14-1 lead nearing the end of Q1. Bears are just unbelievably bad.

Brink taking over in Q2. She has 9, Stanford up 30-10 midway thru Q2.

I know she's had some bad breaks w/ injuries and transfers, but so far the Charmin Smith era probably has Cal fans longing for Gottlieb to come back...

Who are the 3 worst teams in the PAC?

Cal is in a league of their own. Washington, Washington St. and Colorado will have to slug it out for 9-11. I would've assumed Wazzu is really really bad, but they just beat the Huskies in Seattle.

Cal is the worst, for sure.
I'd say Colorado is 2nd worst.
For now I'm going with Washington as 3rd worst.

Washington State surprised me a bit by beating Washington in Seattle, but that may prove an anomaly.

Standings say Cal, Colorado, and USC. I won’t argue with them.
USC very nearly beat Arizona in Tucson They're definitely better than UW and probably better than Utah and Washington State, if not others as well.

Especially if they ever get Pili back. They did get beat down by UCLA today though.

Washington State has a very good freshman, Charlisse Leger-Walker. She had 29 points (though it took 25 shots) tonight and 20 against Washington. She’ll probably end up having a career like Hristova. Big scorer, but may never win much.

I’ll guess Cal, UW, WSU.

How did Cal get so bad so quickly weren't they good just a couple of years ago?

A bunch of transfers and a bunch of injuries. They had several decent Fr. last year, most of them are out for the year this season. They are almost entirely Fr. this year. Only their #7 and #11 scorer from last year are playing this year. They also had fairly heavy graduation losses.

Stanford was stinking up the court most of Q3, but Williams had a quick 7 point scoring run and got them ignited. It was 59-23 thru Q3.

Washington State has a very good freshman, Charlisse Leger-Walker.

Her sister, a senior, transferred in from Northern Colorado (isn't that where Coach Ethridge came from?). They look a lot alike in their bio pictures.

(totally on a sidetrack now, but WSU only has 2 players from the continental U.S. on their roster; 2 more from Hawaii; 9 international players from 7 different countries)

83-38 final, and that was with a 10-3 run by Cal at the end. Ouch.
