What a day yesterday!
I'll be celebrating Thanksgiving at a football house, so I have the DVR set up to record the Kansas/Gonzaga and Villanova/Arizona State tilt as those are probably the only games I'll be able to watch today.
For you celebrating in more basketball-liberal homes, there are a ton of good games to watch today!
Noon: Want to take out your AAC frustrations? Root for the likable WKU Hilltoppers against Memphis. The winner of this game advances to the Bad Boy Mowers championship game on Friday. WKU's top eight players are really freakin' good and they can be one of those teams that advance far in March/May?
For Big East watchers, the Bradley/Xavier tilt should be solid. Bradley is widely considered the 3rd best team in the MVC and overall that conference should be pretty good this year.
2 PM: Back to the Bad Boy Mowers tournament, but VCU/West Virginia will be a hard fought game and arguably the best game at this slot. St. John's had a scary game against Saint Peter's last night and face another tough defensive team in LaSalle.
5PM: A few interesting mid-major matchups. The always relevant Belmont plays against Howard and their debut of Makur Maker. Two high-flying offenses look for their first win of the season when Northern Iowa and Saint Mary's play in Sioux Falls. If you haven't watched AJ Green play yet, he's worth your time...a Steph Curry clone. At 4:30, a depleted Auburn team limps into a matchup against Saint Joseph's.
7PM: Boston College/Rhode Island. URI played better than I expected and have a nice opportunity to get their first win of the season against the Eagles. Sid will be on ESPN+ playing LSU too after leading his team last night scoring 14.
9PM: Purdue/Clemson at 8:30 is a nice warmup to the Villanova/Arizona State game. Freshman 7'4 monster Zach Edey had a monster debut for Purdue with 19 points in 16 minutes.
Enjoy and have a happy Thanksgiving!!!
