Just curious to see how you guys think this will end up shaking out.
Big East Football:
Big East-East: UConn, Rutgers, Navy, Cincinnati, USF, UCF
Big East-West: Boise State, Louisville, Houston, SMU, San Diego State, Air Force
Five games within the division and rotate the 4 teams from the other division every year.
Championship game at the home stadium of the team with the best record (or highest BCS ranking).
Big East Basketball:
Football: UConn, Rutgers, Cincinnati, USF, UCF, Louisville, Houston, SMU
Catholics: Georgetown, Villanova, St. John's, Marquette, Notre Dame, Seton Hall, Providence, Depaul
Play every team once and then just make the best "made for tv matchups" for the three repeat games based on ranking in the upcoming season and/or rivalries. It may hurt a team like UConn as far as regular season standings go to play Louisville, Georgetown and ND twice, but I think it'll be necessary to keep the basketball product as attractive as possible to future tv partners.
Any other thoughts?
