WTIC’s Scott Gray Announces Retirement

(CBS Connecticut) — After 34 years, WTIC’s Scott Gray Friday morning announced he is retiring , effective October 3.

Scott joined WTIC Radio in January of 1981 as the sports anchor on the “Bob Steele Show”. He has continued to provide Connecticut radio listeners with their morning sports news for nearly 34 years. His sports commentary has become a fixture of the show; anticipated by both the serious and casual sports fan.

Scott’s last day will be Friday, October 3rd. Bob Joyce, WTIC Producer and the play-by-play announcer for UConn Women’s Basketball will anchor the morning sports reports until a permanent replacement is named.
