Not a good week for Swofford and the ACC.
For the past decade they've been proactive trying to stay ahead of the Jones' unaware that the Jones' weren't even paying attention to him.
Every move he made was like going to a payday loan store to take out a loan to pay off the previous weeks payday loan.
And for all the publicity and moves, the ACC is being done in by one horrible reality- their product sucked for the past decade. The ACC over the past decade was built on a strategy of having FSU or Miami going 12-0 or 11-1 and the other school going 10-2. Throw in a UNC that realizes its potential, along with VT and GT all going 9-3 or 8-4 and then another group of NCSU, Virginia, Maryland and BCU all coming in around the 7-5 range but being competitive. Never happened.
The regular season embarrassing losses, the abysmal BCS record and scandals at Miami, FSU and UNC killed any top level sustained success.
They are now in "you reap what you sow" hell.
The Enron of college football.
