I have watched enough PAC12 basketball this season and my money is on Stanford and UCLA to go farther then the #2 seeds.

I don't know. When I saw Oregon St. lose at home to TENN and then Stanford get knocked out of their Tournament early I figured it was real off year for the PAC 12.

The other night Green Bay's zone bothered TN, but ASU's aggressive, harassing defense isn't doing to well against the bigger, stronger, faster LV. But - it's tied at the half, so...?

Continuing consistent play into the 2nd half and moving ahead.
Still does some of the things bad ole UTenn does.
missed three chippee's around the hoop, DeShields gets into her volume act
But not playing badly at all.

That's "what they do" - sorta their signature trait that they're proud of. Not working out as well against TN as it did in the PAC 12

Agreed. ASU doesn't have enough scorers and their supposed vaunted defense is unable to keep Tennessee from driving right to the basket. Ole! Also agree with Nuyoika that ASU should have played zone until Tennessee made some shots.

Just silly when you know that a team you are playing struggles against a zone. You either gotta be really stubborn or just admit the fact you never taught your team how to play zone defense. I guess Warlick isn't much smarter TN zone was bothering ASU and then for no reason they go back to playing man. Coaching in this game is suspect...

As a Uconn fan though I'm not going to hate on the LV tonight. Rooting for them in a way I am, especially after a up and down regular season and barely making it. This win would be a good confidence booster indeed for next season.

And yet they beat Stanford twice, held them to 30 points one of those times. Just not much there after the first 6 teams or so.

I'm trying to figure out how they won 26 games. Doesn't even look like anybody wants the ball.

Well it isn't exactly a powerhouse Stanford team this season.

I always felt they would be fine. They just need time together and they will figure it out. The thing they should worry about is recruiting. Maybe when they start winning again...and they will, it will help recruiting. Anyways I picked them to make it to the elite 8.

I'm guessing that Holly secretly informed the team that she is quitting after this season and that this has motivated them to get off their butts and start playing. I have absolutely no information to base this on. Just a guess.

Tenn has the talent to be a 2 or 3 seed. ASU looked like a 4 or 5 seed. I wasn't impressed. I think the track meet that OSU brings will be interesting.

Compared to the way the Lady Vols played all season, this was a virtuoso performance.
Compared to reality, it was just somewhere between ok and fine.
Most of the upper level teams after the 1st five or six are not very good,
Giving anyone with good players an opportunity to win a few games

UTenn always had the big Mac All-Stars
That they couldn't do better was the fun of watching them.

Well now, at least for two rounds, they're not throwing the ball regularly to the other team,
dribbling around in circles for 15 seconds
and ignoring their talented posts.

I've said in several forums that they could be a handful if they figured out 1+2
They're getting there.

They can continue to improve...and this game was a huge improvement
or revert.
Gotta play the game...they're not through yet.
