Down 4 - 1. What happened to Ferriter. Started game in center, had 1 at bat and was replaced by Ryan Moore. Nice if they can come back in this game.

They called it after 6 because of travel curfew? That's a bunch of BS.

Bullpen work in progress... At least Purdue and OSU projected in top 5 of Big10 this year. Tough trip though.

Next up is the Cougar Invitational in South Carolina to face Xavier, Charleston, and Rhode Island.

We should go at least 2-1 in this.

Talked some folks who attended the game. Ferriter pulled up with a hamstring running out a ground ball. Ryan Moore played center the rest of the way - he does have a sprained thumb on glove hand. Ohio State had an early flight and both coaches agreed to not start any innings past 4PM - hence the six inning game. Several players not on trip due either to disciplinary reasons or injuries.

Ugly end to the weekend. Hopefully just a bump in the road. It's always hard to tell if a team in any sport is playing to their talent levels or just struggling early in the year. This goes double for baseball, IMO. Hopefully the pitching comes around in the next few weeks.

We've gone 1-2 vs the B1G the 2 previous years too. I like how Ward performed. Marzi didn't sound too bad either. Penders used several true frosh, plus Cross, a RS frosh. We've got some young talent. Hopefully they blend with the upperclassmen as the season goes on.
Jolen didn't pitch. I wonder if he was one of the 9 left behind?

I noticed that about Jolin, too. Perhaps he's injured? We could have really used him this weekend.

It's way too early to panic, but the Big 10 sucks in baseball. We should have gone 2-1 down here.
