Game Notes:- UConn is 8-3 against New England opponents this season.
- The Huskies are 14-3 against Sacred Heart all-time.
- SHU head coach Nick Giaquinto played football at UConn and still holds the program record for rushing yards in a game.
- LJ Mazzilli and Billy Ferriter remained tied for second all-time in career hits at UConn with 267.
- Ferriter is hitting .409 (27-for-66) over the last 15 games with 11 multi-hit games and seven doubles over that stretch.
- Ferriter hit in the clean-up spot for the first time in his 224-game career.
- UConn has started at least four freshmen in 30 games this season.
- Dan Feehan appeared in his 87th career game, tying him for most all-time in a Connecticut uniform with David Erickson (2005-2009).
- Ryan Moore, who started 32 games in right field in 2012, made his first appearance in the field this season in left field for the ninth inning.

I was out with the dog during the four run Husky rally after they had lost the lead. Anyway, in the post game interview, Penders said tomorrow will be another "staff day", with Max Slade probably leading off. He then said that Tabakman will get the Sunday start. In saying this, Penders did not mention Ward at all.
