Honest question - if you compare Reid and Tsantiris' records, there are some similarities as to # NCAA appearances, # semis, but only Reid has a championship. For those that have followed UConn soccer for a long time, any thoughts on why only Reid was chosen?

My guess are these reasons. Reid had national championships at SCSU as well as the one at UConn, plus he was a big driver in getting the new soccer facility built, both in terms of making monetary donations plus the time he spent in planning to get it done. Plus perhaps the formation of the Goal Patrol, plus UConn continuing under his reign to be among the leaders in NCAA men's soccer attendance.
