UConn Now Running a Student Bus to Dallas

UConn's undergrad student government (USG) is running a student bus to Dallas for the Final Four. Only $100 round trip. Pretty cool.

Looks like one, which is better than none. It's the Undergrad Student Government, not the school, so they may not be in position to stick their necks out that far without gauging the demand first. If ten busloads of students show up in line, I would think they would try to do something to get more buses.

Apparently, the call for this bus went out after they closed ticket sales to students.

Just wondering how the logistics of that works- they just going to drive to the Hyatt ( where more students can't afford to stay) and then they need to find away to their individual hotels from there?

Well the ncaa stopped selling tickets at 6 pm today and they just announced this. So don't really know how this works if you couldn't buy a ticket before because of transportation issues

I'd started a thread about pooling money to send student(s) but virtually no one responded. I'd definitely be up for contributing something to get another bus.

It is only one bus, the USG post said that it will fit 56 students. Better than nothing but it would be nice to get more.

Think it leaves Friday at 6AM and plans to get to Texas by 12PM Saturday.

Yeah would be nice if the get 14 buses to go. Where will these students stay if we win? I can only imagine the logistic nightmare with this little time to plan.
