If other folks develop the way we hope they will, we won't need 'major minutes' from Olander.

Best case scenario is that he settles into deep reserve role.

It depends what you mean by major minutes. The kid has his deficiencies, but he's a better player than people give him credit for on here, IMO. He played 22 minutes a game last season to Wolf's 14. There was a reason for that. He's the best screener on the team by a fairly wide margin and he's also one of the best help defenders. In terms of talent, I'll grant you he's a ways down the totem pole, but there's a lot he brings to the table the box score won't account for. I don't want him playing 30+ minutes as much as the next guy, but there's no reason he can't play 10-15 minutes a night on a good team. Hell, he did when we won the national title. Having a senior on the team who understands all the subtle dynamics of offensive and defensive execution and has something of a rapport with Napier and Boatright in the pick and roll game is going to prove valuable.
