#1 to me will always be Rashamel Jones, top 50 recruit if i remember (75 at worst) and started as a young player and embraced bench role when Rip came. Who would have the character to do that today? Amazing to think what he did in helping us get that first ship! Didn’t he lead us in scoring one year early in career?

Al Mouring too was a good one.
Souleymane Wane with that couple min span vs Elton Brand in ‘99 championship game, wow!

Okwandu, because he LOVES this team!
EJ Harrison. After leading the little east in scoring at Westconn for two years, EJ came to UConn as a walk on for his junior & senior years, knowing he'd see limited minutes. Ended up getting a successful 15 year career in Great Britain out of the deal, thanks to JC recommending him to Tony Hanson, the coach of the TeesValley Mohawks at the time.

Giffey.
IIRC, in his senior year, Ollie had him coming off the bench until the 2nd half of his year, as ridiculous as that sounds, retrospectively. Ollie had a huge blind spot for Omar.
He was definitely not a starter 1st and 2nd year. Can't remember 3rd year. Anybody?

Brian Fair. He was instant offense, a 3 point assassin, and was a Syracuse killer. Single handedly beat them in the Carrier Dome off the bench once...94/95 season I think...27 points or something like that.
