This is the Metsiest start ever.
Justin Wilson the last 2 yearsOutside of it being opening day, this is pretty typical. When was the last time a FA bullpen arm didn’t suck ass?
He was definitely good his first year but I’m guessing he slipped my mind cause he was just okay last year.Justin Wilson the last 2 years
Because you think Lugo will be back by then, or you're expecting on of these rag arms to turn around?the bullpen will round into form - I truly think it will be a strength by July
I hear you. We have talent. I wish I had more faith in Rojas.Be positive! Castro and May are great bullpen arms! Familia is Familia... Loup was a sneaky good signing!
It's only game 3! Need to batter Nola early today.. POSITIVITY!

On the bright side, how about Alonso’s defense!
I think it's a no brainer to sign him. They're already going to be looking for a CF in a weak OF class next year, finding 2 is going to be really tough. Especially when Conforto is by far the best option available. After him you're looking at older guys like Starling Marte and Andrew McCutchen as the best optionsTopic for discussion: Should the Mets sign Conforto to a big extension?
I have a big love/hate relationship with him. Seems like a great kid, good teammate, sweet swing. Power and average. But do we need him? Or can that money be better spent elsewhere? Is he the next Jay Bruce, Jason Bay type "average" corner outfielder that makes his bacon over a hot few stretches every year?
Right now he's looking for $200M, I suspect they settle somewhere in the middle above Springer's 6/$150MGotta sign him. 5 years 100 mil? Have to lock him up long term.
That strike 3 call on him with the bases loaded yesterday made me IRATE, it was outside.
Yeah, no doubt it was the wrong call. Ref admitted it afterwards; Mets announcers said it instantly. HBP in strike zone = out.Mets steal a win with Comforto getting grazed on his elbow protector in the strike zone with bases loaded in bottom of 9th and bases loaded. Refs blew it big time. It is illogical that getting hit on a called third strike is not called batter interference.
It should fade away quickly once Conforto gets beaned. It's unfortunate that they have a day off today.Yikes, bad press that the Mets booth is getting so much attention for criticizing the call on the field and the "lean" by Conforto. Hope this fades away quickly.
