So I meant to post this the day of but totally forgot about it in the excitement. At ESPN GameDay before the show started there was a man in the audience opposite of the student section who was holding up a flag with the Big 12 logo. I didn't think much of it at the time but it's a little strange someone would do this for a conference we (seemingly) have no involvement in
