One thing that has struck me is how much better the mediocre to poor AAC teams are at home. Obviously you know a Louisville, Cincinnati, Memphis, and UConn will be tough anywhere. But the other schools look like some of the worst teams in the country on the road. But at home they can beat you on any night. We found that out in Texas. SMU looked terrible at USF the other night. UCF gave Memphis all they can handle on their home court. Temple almost beat Cincinnati at home.

It will be interesting to see how Ollie can get the team to respond when they go on the road to play a team they easily beat at home like Temple and UCF.

Also, that Larry Brown is a very good coach.

Not necessarily. The top five teams in the AAC can afford to beat up on each other a bit. What really hurts is if the top five teams lose to any of the bottom feeders.

The objective is to get UConn, Cincy, SMU, Memphis and L'ville in to the tourney. The whole point of getting the big out of conference wins is that you can afford to have some inbred beatings.

I'm just saying, mathematically, SMU beating Memphis makes our loss vs. SMU look better and our win vs. Memphis look worse. It's basically a wash for us. There's not a lot of controversy in my statement.

gotcha, and yea I hope others now realize that our loss to SMU should no longer be grouped with Houston. It was definitely a winnable game if Bazz played better but there's no shame in losing to them in their building, I expect them to at least get one of Cincy/Lou when they make their trips there.

Especially since Memphis has three home games coming up that they should win, meaning they'll probably be in the top 25 again by the time UConn plays them in Hartford two weeks from now.
