As for your question, though, was it more effusive than Cal's? Sounded the same to me.

This is exactly the point. The dad has had glowing things to say about two schools. You're parsing one of those statements and claiming you can determine the guy's preference from that. You can't. Maybe he does prefer Cal, but there's no indication in that from what he said.

We disagree.

For the people that care, he chronicled the Cal visit on snapchat much like he did his UConn visit.

Here are some details: The hotel room was very nice. He was very impressed. The pictures/videos of the room were captioned with "Luxurious" A big sign that said "I wasn't born in California, California was born in me" was in there. The family ordered room service. $400.00 bill. Lot's of fillets and salmon were ordered. He ordered room service his first night at UConn too. He just got a bacon cheeseburger than.

Next day he took the tour of their basketball facilities. I did not get the impression Cuonzo was showing him around. At UConn KO was the tour guide of the facility. Their locker room was nice. Not as nice as ours. Lots of Jordan insignias everywhere. Right outside the locker room was a room with 4 large flat screens with video games and couches.

Then there was your basic football game footage. He went with Ivan Rabb. That was followed by just hanging out. He played on one of those hand free segways. They ended the night at what looked like a frat party. That was basicly it.

In my opinion it looked like he had more fun at UConn. Obviously I could be completely wrong.

He and Gilbert started following each other on Instagram.
He probably saw and heard about all the press Gilbert is getting dominating the early USA Basketball and realized there isn't, and hasn't been for ages, a Cal player in that bunch.

Heard Cal has unlimited supplies of Bacon-Jalapeno Mac'N'Cheese. Jerry Meyer thinks this could be a deal breaker, I see some crystal ball movement coming.
