Lasorda is my favorite manager since I began following the Dodgers after their move to LA in 1958.
RIP Tommy. LA loves you. You were the best. :(

Ben Sheets gave Tommy Lasorda one last unexpected championship when he shut out Cuba in the Gold Medal Game of the 2000 Olympics

Had the priviledge of meeting/talking to him twice. Very down to earth guy. Told my son he had one of the prettiest swings in baseball! RIP Tommy Lasorda

Born in Norristown PA. Isn't some one else from there a famous coach?
Very proud to share the same hometown with those two icons. Geno was not born in Norristown though .

Another icon of my youth gone. I guess it's inevitable once we start sliding down the razor blade of life (phrase borrowed from a 1980's shock jock from DC101).
