Stewart has made a remarkable jump this season when it comes to her passing ability. She had 35 assists, 54 turnovers and a 0.65 assist to turnover ratio in 36 games last season. There were four games that she had at least three assists (two with four) and she did not have an assist in 16 games.

Stewart has 107 assists, 60 turnovers and a 1.8 assist to turnover ratio in 34 games this season. There have been 21 games in which she has had at least three assists and she has twice failed to record an assist.

Great stats, to say the least. The fact that in fewer games (up to now) she has over 3 times as many assists as last year says so much for her game and her evolving into a phenomenal player. I think one of the reasons our team is better is because she now draws a lot more attention than she did last year when she went through a mid season and late season lull before she erupted in the post season. This year there has been no such lull and due to her being more of an offensive threat defenses are collapsing on her, giving her more opportunities to find teammates in opportune positions to score. That's the wonderful thing about this team is their unselfishness and Breanna's growth not only as a scorer but as passer speaks volumes for the UConn way!
