UC Davis Aggies. Like to shoot 3’s. Avg about 27 a game. Make almost 10 a game. Fipps and Harris are the big threats but at least 4 others will take 2-3 a game. Not much height, one player at 6-3 and one at 6-2, the rest at 5-10 to 6-0. So not “small” though.

The Aggies turn the ball over…a lot. UCONN should be able to get some fast break points this way. Along with longer rebounds on the 3 pt shots. But they did slow Stanford down and held them to 66 points. They don’t necessarily score a lot, so it looks like they like to run some offense before they jack up a 3. Their defense seems to be decent also. Held Stanford to 38% shooting. Probably a scrappy team.

Let’s hope UCONN comes out a little more focused Thursday. The turkey hangover will have worn off by now. Last game before the Semester Finals break. UCONN should be able to work the ball inside. Defensively, just close down their outside shooters. If the Aggies don’t shoot well, UCONN will win big. If they do shoot well, UCONN will still win big, just not as big.

UCONN 83-45.

UCONN 83-45.

Please note that the real name for the team UConn is facing on Thursday should be OC Davis, not UC Davis.
There are 5 players on the Aggies who come from Orange County, OC, or my neck of the woods.
I am expecting a UConn win but a closer game, like 75-50(83-45 would be too hard for me to accept for a team with 5 OC girls on it). Kelsey Harris and KML had some great battles in HS with their respective teams Brea and Mater Dei.

I didn't realize that. I did notice that all of them are from CA though, except the one from Israel.

They only got 48 against Stanford. I think our defense is better. And I figure Geno will get them playing better this game than last. And they usually play pretty well on the before break game.

I don't see you holding us to 75 points. I'd guess 95 - 48 and that is not meant as disrespectful.

My son lived in Newport Beach for 6 years so I spent a lot of time there visiting, miss the ramen as there is nothing like the Asian food scene here in CT (some decent Thai is about it). Also the craft brew scene in and around OC is amazing (would always visit the Bruery and pop down to SD for some Lost Abbey or Alesmith.

Good luck but be forewarned!

IMO, Stewie will go wild and the rest of the team will feed of her..........I am sure she has heard enough from Geno to get her game in high gear.

If you like craft beer I hope you have checked out the Willimantic Brewing Co. in the old post office in downtown Willimantic (10 miles from the Storrs campus. I really like their own brews and they always have a really nice rotation of kegs from across the country as well as extensive bottles. The food is really good too - bar fare plus a wide selection of entrees. They have one cask condition variety (which happens to be my favorite kind of beer) every month but often run out before the next is on tap, and it is sometimes rather a peculiar variety - they do let you sample before ordering! They have won a number of state/regional awards.
Would not be a bad pre or post game destination though it is the wrong direction for those coming in off 84. Web site:

UC Davis beat San Jose State 95-61
Baylor beat San Jose State 113- 73
I don't think Davis and Baylor are comparable, but both had similar results vs the same team.
Uconn has Davis coming up and Baylor down the road.
