OT: Tiger just 8 down in first round

Tiger will never make it back to the golfer he was. However, if he wants to win some majors, he has to be like all the other Pros. He's got to play most of the tournaments instead of how he has in the past playing only the majors and selective tournaments. He has to face competition weekly in an effort to regain his touch.

Tiger is now 9 back of the leader. To make the cut, he has to be within 10 shots of the leader. He'll have to shoot at least 4 or 5 under par tomorrow to guarantee making the cut. Even that might not be enough, but I think it will.

For masters low 50 scores plus ties plus any golfer within 10 of the leader move on to the weekend. Tiger currently in 14 way tie at 41 meaning he is 41 to 54. Short game was much bette than expected and his iron game usually his strength failed him miserably today. except for 2 drives driving ws good also. If irons pick up tom tiger should make cut easily but if they stay like today it will be touch and go for him to make the cut

Through 4 holes Tiger is -1 for the day, making him even par for the tournament. Currently sits tied for 29 easily making the Cut. Projected Cut is +2. Watching Shot Tracker and Tiger's playing well, except for missing what appears to be missing birdie putts.

What's aggravating is Tiger's Group is not one of the featured groups today. Yes, he's over hyped based on his level of play recently but he's still the player majority of fans want to watch. I would also like to see Spieth's group, but he's not featured either.

Tiger now -2 for the day through 8 holes. Overall he's -1 and tied for 16th. He's had 3 birdies and a bogey so far today. Looking good for making the weekend. CBS is praying that happens.

Jordan Spieth is 4 under for the day and is at -12 for the tournament. Right now for Tiger to make the tournament he'll have to be in the Top 50 as he's more then 10 shots behind the leader. Spieth has a 5 shot lead over his nearest competitor Charley Huffman.
